Volume Manager

Keep network volumes connected automatically. No more "Server not available" dialogs.

Detect your network, mount servers on login or on schedule, and auto-reconnect if they drop. Perfect for teams, studios, IT, and anyone who lives on shared storage.

Requires macOS 10.11โ€“26 โ€ข Apple Silicon & Intel

Stop chasing offline servers

Volume Manager watches for your networks and mounts the right shares automaticallyโ€”SMB, disks, and custom paths. If a connection drops, it retries and alerts you. Schedule mounts for backups, media work, or daily team workflows.

Never lose access to your shared storage again. Volume Manager automatically detects when your network becomes available and mounts your configured shares. It monitors connections in real-time, automatically reconnecting if a share becomes unavailable. Perfect for maintaining persistent access to network resources without manual intervention.

Set it once and forget it. Volume Manager remembers your server configurations and handles all the complexity of network mounting behind the scenes. Whether you're switching between office, home, or VPN networks, Volume Manager ensures your shares are always accessible when you need them.

Key features

Auto-mount SMB

Save your servers once, then let Volume Manager mount them on login or when the network appears.

Network-aware

Detects Wiโ€‘Fi/LAN changes to mount the right shares for office, home, or VPN.

Monitor & reconnect

Watches connections and automatically retries if a share drops or goes idle.

Schedules

Mount on a schedule for backups, nightly jobs, or morning startup routines.

Notifications

Get optional alerts when mounts succeed or fail so you can act fast.

Menu bar access

Quickly see what's mounted, reconnect, or open shares from the menu bar.

Made for teams & studios

Editors, designers, and engineers rely on shared storage. Volume Manager keeps media, assets, and code repos mounted so you can work without hunting for servers.

Reviews

"I purchased this to replace AutoMounter. There were issues with AutoMounter getting stuck connecting drives, especially when changing networks (home, work, etc) and the only way to fix it was to reboot the computer! This App looks very plain, and the setup process could be improved (adding a duplicate function), but it works flawlessly. I love that you don't have to do anything special to connect the drives to the /Volume folder. The drives mount when logging in, and remount if the network drops."

User Raves

"Volume Manager corrects the dreadful SMB implementation on macOS. If the SMB share is unmounted again after a deep sleep, Volume Manager recognizes this and mounts it again, perfect!"
